Boddington Open Gardens & Wildflower Trails

Boddington's Big Long Weekend! We are opening some of our prime gardens for public to enjoy for one day on 28 September 2019 only. Flowers, art, vintage cars, sculptures, wearable Art & free propagating classes are just some of the great things to do and see at our open gardens. Lunch & morning tea will be available in different gardens. Picnic baskets can be pre-ordered from Happy Soul Café by 26/9 (Gabe 0439408996) Stay for the weekend and enjoy our Field of Quilts on Sunday 29. Entry to Field of Quilts is $6 p/person. Free Outdoor Movie Night: 2040

Time to pull out those picnic rugs and get the popcorn ready! The Shire of Boddington proudly presents a free community screening of the new environmental awareness film 2040. This event is free for everyone to attend. In line with the theme of the movie, we are aiming for a zero waste event, please assist us with this by using washable containers wherever possible and recycling suitable items. The movie will start as soon as the sun has set to ensure premium viewing. This event is dog friendly, however dogs must remain on a leash at all times and must always be supervised by the owner. *This is a smoke-free, alcohol-free, drug-free event* Stay tuned for further details.

Since its inception in 1976, the Boddington Lion's Club has successfully run the Lions Rodeo annually on the first Saturday in November each year. Recognised as the largest rodeo in Western Australia the rodeo weekend has something in store for everyone.

2019 Rodeo Street Parade

Dust off your paint brushes and art supplies, it's that time of year again! The annual Rodeo Street Parade is on again Saturday 1st November. This year our float theme truly reflects our the stunning natural landscape of our town - "Flowing with Natural Beauty". The Street Parade will be escorted by our local police, departing at 10am from the Boddington Old School Oval and through the streets of Boddington, the Boddington Ute Muster will also be involved in the parade, before they set up at the Rodeo Grounds. Everyone is welcome to participate with fantastic cash prizes on offer. If you would like to submit your interest in entering a float or being part of the parade, please send an email to [email protected] and registration forms will be sent to you. This is a great community event for the whole family and a great way to get ready for a big day at the Rodeo, proudly brought to you this year by the Shire of Boddington in partnership with the Boddington Community Resource Centre.
